Using Microsoft's software
Home Page > Information Corner > Using Microsoft's software

The MSDN AA contract has concluded in this 2006 year between EBS and Microsoft. The goal of the contract (MSDN AA - Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance ) is to make the software enable for students to learn or to experiment with in a classroom setting. Additionally, the students have the right to install the program software on their personal computers. All these rights expand only for those students who are taking at least one credit point in the Department of Information Technology. In EBS that means that almost every student has suitable right.

Additionally the same rights have lectures of Department of Information Technology and professional support staff whose primary responsibility is to maintain departmental classrooms.

Described persons may use the software for non-commercial purposes including instructional use, research and /or design, and development and testing of projects for class assignments, tests, or personal projects. They may not use software for any for-profit software development.

The software includes the latest developer tools, servers, and platforms (Windows XP Pro, windows 2000 server, Microsoft Office Visio Pro 2003 and ...). The accurate list of CD-s is given in attached files MSDN list.
In case if student no longer taking credit courses in the Department of Information Technology or will be graduated EBS, he may continue to use previously installed products on your computer, but he has not right to get renovations or install it to the other computers.

If EBS decides not to renew the MSDN AA membership in the next year, it may continue to use the software installed prior to the membership's expiration for the purposes described herein.
The software is enabling in many languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Portuguese, Hebrew, Arabic; Polish, Russian.
For Getting software taker must turn to the IT service, whence after registration he can loan suitable CD for installation.or get the URL of software loading centre. In the last case is preferred turning via the e-mail (it@ebs.ee), writing your name, group and e-mail address.
