Students from all over the world are invited to test their business knowledge and skills at the largest and most famous international competition in Eastern Europe, "Peak Time 2008", which will be held at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) from the 30th of April till the 3rd of May.
"Peak Time"is a well-known worldwide event which involved more than 450 participants from 28 countries (including the Baltic countries, Germany, Spain, Iceland, Brazil, Singapore, Costa Rica, and Taiwan) last year. The main goal of "Peak Time" is to unite business students from world universities and provide them with an opportunity to test and apply their entrepreneurial practical skills and theoretical knowledge by solving realistic assignments, including case studies, simulation exercises (CESIM), and attending entrepreneurship-oriented guest lectures. The organizers aim at encouraging global networking and idea exchange in the sphere of business between students, sponsors' representatives, and outstanding guest speakers.
In order to win the prize of 6500 EUR, "Peak Time" teams will have to compete in three stages. The first stage will consist of the on-line computer simulation game CESIM, in which each team of four people represents a separate company. All teams will be divided into 11 regions in order to guarantee geographical coverage of the event. The best performers in CESIM will be invited to participate in the second round, case studies. 20 teams will be chosen to participate in the final event in Riga.
In order to participate, a team of four people should register on the "Peak Time" home page, http://www.peaktime.org/, by the 8th of February, 2008.
Peak Time 2008 is organized by the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga with the support of Platinum sponsors Albert, Gold sponsors CESIM, Silver sponsor Evli and others.
