On February 1, 2008 the new board of EBS Student Council: Erkki Saarniit - chairman, Birgit Simm - vice-chairman and Grete Mägi - vice-chairman, started their work, they were elected to be the new board by the student representatives on November 30, 2007.
In the new year the board wishes to start co-operation with the alumni, lecturers and also with other universities in Estonia, and in foreign countries. The aim of the co-operation is to get new experience, knowledge and to improve daily work.
Different institutions of the Student Council will be developed in order to make students feel as if they have been thought of and that someone is there for them. Events with different purposes will be held and there will be some changes in order to find the balance between educational and entertainment events.
