On February 11th the Board of EBS Education OÜ elected the current Managing Director of Estonian Business School (EBS), Peeter Kross, new Rector of EBS on proposal of Professor Madis Habakuk. The inauguration of the new EBS rector takes place on March 31st 2008.
Peeter Kross has been working at EBS since 2005. He has acquired his Ph.D. from Moscow State University; he has been a visiting researcher in Finland at Turku and Helsinki Business Schools and obtained supplemental management training in the United States of America, at the University of Mississippi. Peeter Kross is the author of about 100 publications.
Peeter Kross has comprehensive experience in the field of higher education. He has been the rector of International University Audentes for 5 years, worked as a faculty member in Tallinn Technical University and as a Director of Science at Mainor Business School for 15 years. Peeter Kross has been an entrepreneur since 1988 and a member of board of several Estonian listed companies. In 1987 he was one of the initiators of the so-called IME programme ('A Financially Independent Estonia'). Since June 2006 Peeter Kross has been the Managing Director of EBS.
The present rector of EBS professor Madis Habakuk prefers to withdraw from the active management of EBS and continues as the Chairman of the Board of EBS Education OÜ.
